Get Set GO!! road trip

Hello friends,

I am back from a wonderful road trip travelling from Pacific time zone to the Mountain zone.We covered distances along five the beautiful states starting from California to Utah via Arizona and then to New Mexico and back via Colorado and that too with lone driver(a.k.a my husband) driving for the entire trip.I could get into the driver’s seat if my husband wanted some rest but he never seemed tired at all.So was completely free to sit back and enjoy looking out the window.

On reaching Utah,we stopped at a vista point to get the first set of photos. The views were breathtaking. We fell in love with Utah at first sight. Fotor0602114418

The main goal of this trip was to hike up to delicate arch and see the beauty of this arch from the closest possible distance. And I am happy to say we made it.We started quite early in the morning to avoid the scorching sun. When we reached there and got the first glimpse of the Delicate arch,I was like Oh mY Gosh!!!  Can a stone arch look this beautiful??? Its amazing!! It was just after we took a few photographs there came the terror, the blowing winds. We could not move an inch and had to hold on to our belongings and try to hold ourselves. It lasted for about 15minutes and after that the intensity reduced which let us hike back to the starting point. It was definitely an adventurous experience.

Later that day, we headed towards the Four corners monument. Its a point where the four states (Arizona,Colorado,New Mexico and Utah) meet.So you can be at four different states at the same time. When we got out of the car,we were horrified all over again by the gusts of wind which threw dust and soil into our eyes. But after a few minutes it died down and we went in.It was just an open area with the monument and there were some stalls selling jewellery made by the natives there.
