LUSH kids fun bar/ bubble bath review

Hi Everyone!

We were at the mall during Christmas and as we walked by the Lush store, my daughter stopped me right there and said she wanted to go into the store.Well, it has been ages since I have stepped into one. I don’t buy their bath goodies anymore for two reasons. One, now I think it’s a waste of money and two, I never really have the time to soak in a tub for may be more than five minutes. Anyway, my daughter thought it was a candy store and she wanted to buy their candies. She was so confused when I told her it wasn’t a candy store but they were actually soaps and bubble baths. Looking at her disappointment I wanted to cheer her up so I asked one of the girls who work there if they had something that was toddler-friendly. She showed me this fun Play dough like soap bars which came in a bunch of different color options.Looking at how much the little one loves bubble baths and playdoh I thought I would give this a try.

So, we came home with this fun bar which can be used to in a bunch of different ways. It can be used to play (just like playdoh) while in the bath or,as a bubble bath and also as shampoo or soap. They had different color options like I said but my daughter picked this one up as it had a couple of chocolate chips in it.I was told they were actually made of chocolate ! Lush advertises it as completely natural and made with essential oils. The only thing I am not sure about is how safe are the colors that are used in this product.

These fun bars come in a bunch of different color options and each bar by itself has three to four colors. To use these, you can take a single color at a time or cut a lime sized portion of each color. You only need a little bit at a time. I personally prefer to use one color at a time, so that the water looks like the actual color of the product. The product is soft like a dough but firm enough to hold up.It can be cut using your hands but to avoid too much crumbling you may use a knife.

To use it as a bubble bath, hold the product under the running water and gently rub against your palm or crumble them. Soon you will have a fun colored pool of bubbles. My daughter like to have a bit in her hand and play with it while in the bath. It can also be used as a soap, just take a piece of bar and use it as you would use a normal soap bar.

The bar will not works as good in making bubbles if you just drop it in the tub.You will have to hold it under the running water. The bubbles last up to around ten minutes depending on the amount of product you have used.

It come in a transparent plastic wrapper twisted at the two edges make it look like an old school candy. It looks cute as it displays all the colors of the bar but not the best packaging when it comes to re-storing.You may want to transfer it into a ziploc bag or a container. The fun bar retails for around 7 to 10 USD depending on the bar you choose. You get quite a bit product for the price but still not as much as to last for months. So, it’s still on the expensive side for a kids bubble bath.

My daughter loves using this in her bath, it’s a great bath fun for the kids.I am glad I tried this product but I would not use it on a regular basis.I like to keep it as an occasional fun experience for my daughter.
