I am here with another L’occitane product review. I love trying their products !!! It started six years ago when I bought their Riz rice mattifying fluid which is the best moisturizer I have used so far. Unfortunately, that product line was discontinued and I began trying out other options. I have used their Pivoine/Peony Perfecting cream, all through fall and winter and it was amazing. When I went to repurchase, I saw that they had released this new face product and bought it instead. For some reason I thought it would be the same product but a different packaging but I was wrong. It’s totally different,in a good way. Yes, it is a mattifying fluid but could work as a moisturizer for oily/combination skin types.
When I first started using the mattifying fluid, the weather was still cold and it didn’t moisturize my face good enough. My face felt dry and I had to use way too much product but as the weather got warmer, it’s working so good. I am so glad I stumbled upon this. It would be perfect for summer time.
The product when used as a moisturizer is best suited for oily/combination skin types. I would not recommend it for dry skin. The skin feels fresh and mattified with this cream. No more oily t-zones.

The packaging : Comes in a tube form and has a pump dispenser. The pink color looks so pretty. It’s not too bulky and you can easily put it in your handbag.
Quality of the product : Excellent! It feels very light on the skin.
Scent : Awesome! It has a mild floral scent definitely not overpowering. I love the peony scent.
Skin type: Oily/combination
Price & Value for money: Expensive. The product is expensive considering the amount of product is in the tube but if you love treating your skin then go for it. It retails for 42 USD.
Goodness to the skin : Although I haven’t noticed any difference in the appearance or skin texture, it feels great and is also a perfect make up base. I have noticed my skin doesn’t get oily mid-day when I use this which very important for oily/combination skin types especially during warmer months.
Uses: Moisturizer, make-up primer.
Breakouts : None. Hurray!!
I love this moisturizer! Having something that is perfect for your skin is such a blessing. Now, I don’t have to search for a summer time moisturizer because I have found mine 🙂 Have you tried this product? Let me know if you have.
