Weekend Getaway – Rose Garden, San Jose

RoseGardenPost5

After a long week , the wait is over for the weekend to arrive and escape to some place beautiful and fun. But, with so many places to go I always have a hard time choosing one for that weekend. This past weekend was supposed to be a relaxed one with less commute. So,after several hours of discussion we finally chose the San Jose Rose Garden.

I haven’t been to a rose garden before and it has been on my bucket list since ages ago.The best time to visit a Rose garden is spring but early summer is not that bad.The roses still looked beautiful !! What a beautiful place!! As we entered and walked through the lovely rose shrubs we were greeted by a beautiful water fountain.

Take a quick turn around and all you see is roses, roses and more roses. My daughter even made up a song which goes pinks, vellows (yellows) ,oranze (orange) and white.Haha ! That was cute!

My little one had a great time running around the maze of rose shrubs in the green grass. She enjoyed to the fullest.Back home her running space is limited to the boundaries of the house and at times we stop her from doing so because “apartment living” and we want to be considerate neighbours. But places like this make us happy when we see her having a blast, releasing all the possible stored energy.

There was this beautiful lilac coloured rose which smelled amazing,so fresh. It is a kind of scent that takes you to a whole new world. All roses in the garden have names but this was yet to be named.Visitors can suggest a name for this on their website.I wonder what will be the name for this pastel beauty!!

This is a great place of photo shoots and weddings. In fact there was a wedding the day we visited. For more information about the garden you can visit here.
